BUHALA is quite magical – it is so beautifully situated with wonderful views all
around. One way faces the green fields of the working farm and the mountains and
the other (most sort after) faces the Crocodile River and the Kruger Park but we
are on a particularly beautiful bend of the river and I know it is one of the most
beautiful places of the world – there are many and we are blessed to be one of them.
Apart
from this, elephant, buffalo, hippos and different buck are regular visitors to our
front acre as we have no fence between ourselves and the Kruger Park.
Of course, across
the river we see a great variety, specially rhinos daily and often giraffe, lion,
kudu etc.
It is a lovely old colonial style building, very comfortable, spacious rooms
with generous bathrooms and free standing showers in each as well as the bath.
We
have a good reputation for excellent food and interesting wines and happy, friendly
service.
We do safaris into the Kruger on open vehicle with qualified rangers and
usually see at least 4 of THE BIG FIVE each trip. (
We are only 1 hours from both
Swaziland and Mocambique making day trips there easy, either self-
GOLF – the greatest thing, our guests have access to Leopard Creek golf
course: a special privilege for me as I am a member there.
We can also offer night
drives in the Kruger Park and early morning walks with rangers (armed) which take
place inside the Kruger Park.
