We pride ourselves in understanding the needs of both our corporate and leisure guests and strive to make your stay a restful and memorable one.

What we offer
House on York offers elegant, well-designed en-suite rooms, individually decorated with style and comfort in mind. It is set in South Kensington, within walking distance of beautiful antique shops and quaint little coffee shops in famous Queen Street. The peace and tranquility belies the close proximity to the highway, three exciting shopping malls and a wide selection of excellent restaurants.

Our location is ideal for easy access to the main business districts of Bedfordview, Edenvale, Germiston, Sandton and the city centre. Within a two kilometer radius you will find the Bedford Gardens Hospital, the New Bedford Square Center, Park Meadows and Eastgate shopping centers. There you will find a gym, Ster Kinekor cinema nouveau and Nu Metro movie theatre, and of course, lots of shops and restaurants. We are approximately 10 kilometers from O.R Tambo International Airport.
House on York offers facilities for business meetings, breakfasts or lunches. We can also host and cater baby shower and kitchen tea parties, beading workshops etc.

House on York is also in walking distance to a few beauty salons for those who need to relax and be spoiled. We also have on display a variety of paintings by local artists and some traditional crafts and curios, which are available for purchase.

5 x Double rooms with queen sized beds, en-suite
5 x Double room en-suite, with equipped kitchenette and lounge (some with queen beds and others single)

Our rooms each have a television with DSTV, an alarm clock radio, hospitality trays, hair dryers, a heater/fan for your comfort, a safe, a small fridge for your convenience and wireless internet access.
Guests have access to the elegant and comfortable communal lounge with a fireplace and a large screen television with DSTV. The dining room overlooks a sparkling heated swimming pool and beautiful garden filled with bird life.
The garden can be enjoyed when lying in the hammock, playing a game of table tennis, darts or crocket. A basic gym is also available for those who love a good workout. The children can also have some fun on our jungle gym.

We also have a pool table and poker table with several card games, board games and a small library available for your enjoyment.

A delicious breakfast can be enjoyed in the dining room or, weather permitting, on the patio personally supervised by your host. Lunch and dinner will be provided on request. There are also facilities for those who prefer self catering.
