Lavender House, a creation of the Pretorius family, offers luxury accommodation in the heart of the Klein Karoo, Oudtshoorn, South Africa.

The house is a beautiful double storey home dating back to the 1940’s, with irreplaceable antique lead glass windows and oregon pine flooring with the warmth and ambiance of a bygone era. A salt chlorinated pool offers a welcome oasis on hot days.

Take a moment to revive your senses and relax on our beautiful soft green lawn or garden benches in our delightful walled in garden, take a deep breath of fresh, clean air and take some time to cherish the scent of roses and lavender. Our garden is lit at night especially for you to enjoy a stroll through our garden to appreciate the beauty of a perfect Karoo night

Elley-Rose: Double Room
A cosy double room with a double bed and en-suite bathroom with a shower

Angel: Twin Room
A Twin room with two separate single beds and en-suite bathroom with a shower

Lavender: Double Room
Our Honeymoon Suite. A spacious luxury room with a double bed and open plan en-suite bathroom with a spa-bath. The only room with a balcony overlooking the garden

Butterfly: Twin Room
A Twin room with two single beds and separate amenities with both a shower and corner bath

Self Catering Cottage

This unit is separate from the main house with a fully equipped kitchen, television with full DSTV bouquet and private braai area. The open plan unit has 1 x Queen Size bed 1 x Double bed and 1 x Single bed with a separate bathroom with bath and shower. Ideal for families. Accommodates up to 5 adults.
