MOLALATAU, literally means “the place where the lion rests”.

Exactly the kind of place where you would like to be. A peaceful, comfortable and relaxing bushvelda retreat under giant Nyala- and Waterberry trees on the banks of not one, but two rivers.

The oasis is snuggly surrounded by the picturesque Waterberg Mountains, home to a huge variety of wildlife including bushbuck, steenbuck, warthogs, vervet monkeys, banded mongoose and baboons as well as a rich variety of bird life. The African Fish Eagle is your morning wake-up call at Molalatau and it is often seen diving for fish in the rivers.

Accommodation varies from cool thatched rooms to chalets, wooden cabins and a spacious camping area with immaculately clean ablution facilities.

Bed and breakfast or self-catering options are available.

Relax completely and order outstanding cuisine from the a-la-carte menu in the restaurant.

Two swimming pools, an additional baby pool, trampoline and a volleyball court are available to enjoy.

When your throat gets dry under the African sun, pop into the open Kwena Bar overlooking the river. That special place “where everbody knows your name”.

This is the place to be to really enjoy an international rugby match on the big screen (involving the Bokke of course), because these days you’ll often find supporters from all over the world cheering on their teams, which makes cheering for the home team so much more fun.
